Please join us on First Friday for “Planet Purim Art and More…” at Old City Jewish Art Center (OCJAC), 119 North 3rd Street on Friday, March 6th from 5-9 PM.  Meet the Artist Reception is scheduled for Sunday, March 22nd, 2-4 PM.

This exhibition will feature; Author/Illustrator Jeffrey Allon, Photographer / Printmaker Lynnrae Fenimore, Jewelry and Fiber Artist Diane Litten, Teacher Michael Neff, Award Winning Caricaturist Deborah Schafer, Collage Artist Frannie Schmerling, Hand-drawn Photographic Image Artist Joan Myerson Shrager, Artist Francine Strauss, Ceramic Toy Artist/Educator Adrianne Waxman, Fiber Collage and Tapestry Artist Helen Webber

Hamantashen, the traditional Purim pastry, has a sweet filling hidden within a plain pastry shell, just like the story of Purim where seemingly mundane occurrences were shown later to be the beginning of great miracles.  There is no such thing as defeat.  If we fall down, it is in only to stand taller.

Gallery hours are Monday – Thursday from 1-6 PM (excluding religious holidays).  “Planet Purim Art and More” will run from March 6-26th, 2009.  Please stop by to browse in our BIG small crafts area, and please inquire about our workshops.
