“Pirkei Avot II Art Exhibition”

Please join us First Friday July 2rd from 5-9 PM at Old City Jewish Art Center (OCJAC) 119 N. 3rd Street for the Pirkei Avot II Art Exhibition.  At 9 pm experience “A taste of Shabbos”.   A taste of Shabbos” is a traditional Shabbos dinner, songs, stories, and much more.  Everyone is invited!  

We are honored to feature the following artists:  Marlene D’Orazio Adler, Kathleen Chapman, Bonnie Goldstein, Wilhelmina McDaniel, Diana Taflin Myers, Nora Quinn, Merle Spandorfer, Carol Wit, and Lois Yampolsky.  They will be exhibiting all forms of printmaking that will include; monoprints, silkscreening, collagraphs and mixed mediums. 

About Pirkei Avot
These teachings express the relationship between man and himself urging him to strive to perfect his character, control his urges, refine his aspirations, eliminate his vices, ennoble his relations with others, love his fellows, imitate the sages from Sinai to our own time, who bring us the teachings that began with creation and extended from Abraham and all of his offspring to us. 

Pirkei Avot does all of this if we let it penetrate our minds and our hearts.
